Wellbeing
Through a range of activities, supported by PSHE and Relationships Education lessons and other aspects of the curriculum, we aim to provide our learners with a clear understanding of all aspects to keeping healthy, including mental health and wellbeing.
A suggested activity to promote wellbeing is included as part of the weekly homework sheets. Please see some examples below:
Visit the homework page to see what the wellbeing activity is for this week.
Wellbeing Ambassadors
Our school councillors have the additional, important role as wellbeing ambassadors. Their roles and responsibilities include:
- Being a friendly and approachable person
- Listening to and supporting others
- Promoting the 5 ways to wellbeing (Connect, Take Notice, Give, Keep Learning and Be Active)
- Leading playground games that support wellbeing, teamwork and friendship
- Encouraging and monitoring engagement with the wellbeing homework activities
- Sharing information about wellbeing through the school council magazine
- Encourage the use of zones of regulation and Zumos

Zones of Regulation
Learners are supported to become aware of and mange their emotions using the zones of regulation. Visit our zones of regulation page for more information on what these are and how to used them.
Zumos
Each learner has their own Zumos account where they can access guided meditations, play games to learn about and monitor their feelings and, in KS2, access a virtual online worry box.
